The Amrun Project extends Rio Tinto's existing mining activities south of the Embley River in far north Queensland. The project is expected to produce 22.8million tonnes of the worlds highest quality bauxite per annum over 40 years.
Originally the South of Embley Project, Amrun was renamed by the traditional land owners and Rio Tinto.
