Australia Pacific Coal Seam Gas project is one of several multi billion dollar projects that have commenced in Queensland. The projects main goal is to extend the CSG infrastructure in Queensland and boost overall gas output for export and local use.
The project consists of three distinct sections.
Firstly the current CSG fields will be developed and more thoroughly explored to provide more reserves for Gas processing facility.
Secondly the construction of a 520km pipeline that will allow gas product to be transported to the processing facility. This pipeline will extend North towards Gladstone where it will be piped into the gas processing facility.
Finally a facility on Curtis Island off the coast of Gladestone will be built to process 9 million tonnes of CSG be annum.
The CSG project is estimated to create 6000 jobs in the Queensland construction industry which will continue well past 2020.
