Boddington

site overview
The Boddington Gold operation is located 120km South East of Perth. Boddington gold began its major upgrade in 2009 when its gold resources improved significantly to 20 million ounces.
Once fully mined the open pit operation will be the largest of its kind and yearly gold production will be targeting 250,000 oz. Using open cut pit methods to mine the ore is then sent through to the processing facility where a combination of floatation and CIL extraction techniques take place.
Boddington Gold uses a combination of drive in, drive out (DIDO) and residential workforce to meet its labour demands.

Boddington is a very large operation that includes a massive open pit and processing plant. I was involved in the mine planning and development and worked with some great people. The township is nice and the roster was family friendly. 7 on 7 off.
Nice camp to.
