Castlemaine is Victoria’s third largest goldfield and the Company’s tenements cover 152.1 Km2 across the majority of the field. The goldfield has produced 5.6 million oz of gold, most of which was won from alluvial mining and 1.1m oz from hard rock mining. The Wattle Gully underground mine produced 415,000 oz of this at a headgrade of approximately 12 g/t Au.
