Caval Ridge

Located in the Bowen Basin region of Queensland Caval Ridge Mine is a joint venture between BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi Alliance producing metallurgical coal for the steel industry.
In April 2017 BHP Billiton announced the approval of the Caval Ridge Southern Circuit Project - an 11km conveyor system to transfer coal to the Coal Handling Preparation Plant located at the Caval Ridge Mine, creating jobs for construction and operations personnel.
