Gorgon Project

site overview
The Chevron Gorgon project is one of the worlds largest gas projects and the largest in Australia's history. The project is located on Barrow island which will be the centre point for the processing of the natural gas.
Some 130 km North West of Barrow island are the Gorgon gas fields. From these gas fields the product will be pumped to the Barrow island processing facility where it will then be sent via pipeline to the onshore delivery plant and into the Dampier to Bunbury pipeline.
Gorgon is currently in its construction stage with the foundations being laid on Barrow island for the village and wharf facilities. The project is expected to be completed by 2014
