Koolan island has probably the best scenery available in mining. The mine site is a little behind in the times but still provides the basic amenities you would expect at your average mine site. The processing plant is pretty run down but was still operating reasonably well when I left there. Typical iron ore dust everywhere but awesome view of the ocean!
The camp has motel type accommodation due to it being an island and is not to bad. The food was pretty good too, Great sea food selection.
