Peak Downs

Peak Downs is one of BMA’s oldest and most established sites. It is a large, open-cut mining operation; which was developed in the early 1970s.
The operation is around 40-kilometres long, it has a production capacity of over nine million tonnes of coking coal a year and at current rates of production reserves are sufficient to support operations for more than 60 years.
Site employees reside in the nearby town of Moranbah which has all the latest amenities of a small town. Rosters vary form 8 days on 6 days off, 5 days on 2 days off.
