I worked in the Robe Valley from 2007 through to 2009. Currently mining Mesa A and J deposits. Mesa A is only a few years old and is FIFO of Karratha and about 200km bus trip to get to site. Camp and amenities are all good, site management and general atmosphere is average.
Mesa J mine site is serviced mainly by a residential workforce living in Pannamonica, a closed township with a couple of small camps that are a few years old and more permanent brick blocks of rooms, some very old and run down. The town has a supermarket, tavern, post office, sports club and swimming pool and then dry mess has recently been expanded. There is a gym in town which organises many sporting activities. The mine is about 20 minutes out of town and is quite old and nearly end of life although there are many other new deposits in the pipeline.
