site overview
Fortescues newest and largest iron ore mine, Solomans, is located approximately 60km from the township of Tom Price in the Pilbara.

The Soloman mine includes the latest in accommodation with a 1800 man Castle camp and the 500 man Dally camp. Mobile reception is present around all areas of the mine.

Worked there on site at Solomon in late 2012. Stayed at the Dally camp. It was a standard style camp room but the newly built Castle camp looked pretty flash. Could only get 6 light beers after work which was probably a good thing as it was around the 40 degree mark. Food was really nice. especially for how large the Solomon camp is and you could order steak or fish every night if you liked. Everyone on site was friendly.
