Woodie Woodie was a great site with great people, i was a contractor on site working along side cons mins and hwe, the camp facilities are great, tennis court, gym, double size dongers, there is internet in the rooms and a land line that familiy and friends can call into the room you are in, mobile coverage was limited when i was there but you could use a dongel to get coverage, Cons mins are a great company to work for, very professional and take safety very seriously, i believe HWE will be out of there very shortly and cons mins will be taking full production responsibilitys very soon, which will make the site even better ( Back to how it was in the good old days. I suggest if you are taking on a manual labouring role up there you will need to be resonibly fit especially during the summer as it gets hot, Flys are insane during the summer so if you dont like flys i suggest you get a gig underground, or dont work in the mining game in wa at all!!. Over all for me i loved this site and i had a ball up there made heaps of friends that i am still in contact with know, i spent three and a bit years there and i have mates that have been there even longer, alot of people have negative things to say about woodie, but they are generaly the operators that are always chasing a cruisy gig and ridiculous pay rates ( plenty of them in the mining game)... If you want a challenging role, great friendly people and ongoing training and advancement for the personell with the right attitude this is a exellent site.

Black dust bowl
even if you work in a machine or office the fine black dust will turn you black by the end of the day.
Poor phone coverage.
50 seater plane on site runway
long walk to your room if your at the back.
Typical mine site tho, not too bad over al

Good site to work on camp donga are old but maintained well gym is small but enough to get u through your swing, really good people to work with would happily go back and work there again

No Cartons in processing we run the Lotto Scheme collected over the radio or around site by the superintendent 'If your not into gambling go to health and safety or don't apply. for the job.Has 3 breaks per shift and mining has 2 breaks If you like FB No mobile phone reception and the wifi is in crib or village.
I worked at Woodie Woodie in 2010 in the catering department. The site wasnt to bad, the food was nice and the people were good to work with as well. I did find a lot of people left quickly mainly due to their view on management but over all it seemed ok. We had a lot of turn over at Woodie Woodie with management staff coming and going a lot. Poor communication i thought.
Woodie Woodie was really hot for most parts of the year. I dont think i would work there again
